The Melville Bird Sanctuary (MBS) Is An Important Environmental Proposal In The Draft Master Plan Along With A Number Of Other Proposals And Projects.   It Received Overwhelming Support From The Community At The AGM Of City Of Melville Electors In December 2018 And A Petition For A Melville Bird Sanctuary And Discovery Centre In Early 2019 Received 2542 Signatures.   Please Take This Further Opportunity To Show Your Support For The Melville Bird Sanctuary.   The ‘Complete A Submission Form’ Link Will Guide You Through The Short Feedback Process.

The City Of Melville Has A Unique Opportunity To Formalise A Bird Sanctuary At Alfred Cove Within The Master Plan.  This Will Recognise The Reputation And Status Of The Area And Enable Its Future Management To Support Birdlife Including Migrating Waterbirds.
